Inspired by Volume 3 of Angel Sanctuary, the creation of Katan by Inorganic Angel Rosiel. I started reading it again and just realised how much I loved these two together. ;_; Kaori Yuki-sensei's work is always so dark and amazing, and I'd read Angel Sanctuary quite a lot of years ago- but it's all my sister Rowan's fault my Katan muse awoke. XD;

Rosiel's hair is a nightmare to draw, so I went around it- I covered his head! XDXDXD Bwahahahaha. Hey, he was wearing a headcover when he created Katan from a Grigore to a child. *Sniffs* the entire scene was so darn cuuuute..

I'm actually pleased with how this turned out. It was sketched in pencil and I added tones and colors later. Ahh.. KatanRosi OTP..

The colors actually hold some meaning.. the gold surrounding Rosiel is based on what Katan notices first as he's coming to life -he thinks Rosiel is god and surrounded by a halo of light. In a way, Rosiel does become Katan's God because he gave him existence.. the white , I wanted to symbolise purity with, while the colors bring to focus emotions and 'humanity'. XD Okay,so I'm being deep here.

Alright,I'm messy already. :P But this makes a good Mother's Day entry anyway? *Sheepish smile* Er.. even though technically Rosiel's a 'father' for creating Katan, but.. er.. um..

I think I should just shut up now. XD;;;

This is really awsome! ^^ Im a big fan of angel sanctuary as well and I to liked that sene... in fact Those two are my fav chars... >.> after I started reading anyway... *,>.>, I need to get the next 2 books...) But again this is amazing! Kaori Yuki-sensei's style is a hard one to try and draw but you did a good job of makeing it your own while stil holding onto that same style ( and now Im starting to bable.... T,T; gommen) *runs off to fave this drawing*

i love that manga!!!! ^_^ u do such awesome work and this one is no different!! its a pleasure to see someone as skilled as you doing work and keeping at it! its an awesome picture by an awesome artist whata could go wrong?! the colours are soft and fit the scene very well i think, thank you for sharing!!! n_n eeeeee
